My beautiful subjects this Sunday were 4 lovely ladies and one pretty pooch! I had fun with this mother and her 3 girls (which was sweet for me since I have 3 girls also). They were charming and fun, and so easy to capture. I love how real and fresh this session was, and I look forward to working with these gorgeous girls in the future.
Brett Dennen is singing "She's Mine" as my music musing today. He's one of my favorites, love his unique voice.
Thanks for stopping by and for all the loving comments, I really, really am touched and grateful for my readers! Thanks ever so much once again~

disgruntled
for the two remaining readers that I have... who are disgruntled about my LONG absences lately. :o) I dedicate this post to you. To remind you that no matter how few and far between my posts, I still love you and I still want to share, I'm just boggled down right now with a myriad of "life" happenings.
At the center of everything I do, my girls bring me the most joy of anything ever. Days like the one pictured here keep me semi-sane and bring to my attention that finding real happiness is often in forgetting the weights of the world and just letting the wind wash over us. Dancing in a dried up pond bank. Shouting at nothing at all just to hear your voice echo. There can be so many things to smile about, and lately I need this lesson.. but my smile is coming back, as I let go of all I don't understand and focus on these simple truths that my girls teach me.
To serenade this post is a new favorite song of mine by Coldplay, it's called "Strawberry Swing." I love it so much, so that's my music musing...because I like it and I think it suits these pictures perfectly!
Thanks for coming to read this today... I hope I won't be so long in between posts, it's just a hard time in my life and a very intricate story that I am not yet ready to tell. I miss writing though, I miss connecting with you all. *sniff*

girls grow up - {austin area senior portrait photographer}
Sunday I had the chance to work with a beautiful and sweet senior. Erin is the younger sister to another senior that I shot last year and had a blast with. This family is just the sweetest and they have the prettiest kids. It was such a fun, I will share more peeks soon from this session, but here are some of my early favorites....
Here is her sister from last year... such a fun time!
Thank you guys so much, it's always good to see you and spend time shooting with you. I hope I can take Camryn's senior pictures in a few years.

blending
I have officially blended my two jobs...
Friday I had a photo shoot at Anthropologie! It's not for the catalog, sadly..that would be incredible...but I am super thrilled to have been asked to shoot the styling tips of our personal shopper that will be shared with many other stores.
It was a fun session, but did lead to a full day. I arrived at work at 11:30 am and shot pictures until 2 pm. At 2 pm I jumped on the floor at work and worked until 9:15 pm (yes, I did have a break at 5).
That is our gorgeous personal shopper. She is the most stylish, interesting, sweet lady and I love being able to count her as one of my friends!
And this picture features the bag that I am coveting SO badly I can hardly stand to look at the picture. One day, I will own this bag....hopefully soon, but it's looking like it might be longer than I would like.....
Oh the bag.... the perfect satchel that wants to belong to me. :o)
I feel really excited that my two careers made this merging, I finally feel like my life is blending together and becoming mine.
Thank you Nicole for being SO kind to comment on my previous, melancholy post. You really were a timely friend to me and I am continually grateful that I know you and have you in my life friend!!!
